What is Thermography?
Thermography is a type of infrared imaging. Thermograph cameras detect radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum and produce images of that radiation. Since all objects at ambient temperature emit infrared radiation, thermography makes it possible to "see" one's environment with or without visible illumination. The amount of radiation emitted by an object increases with temperature, therefore thermography allows you to see variations in temperature, hence the name. With a thermographic camera warm objects stand out well against cooler backgrounds.
Using this technology, we at Capital Home Services L.L.C. can determine which areas of your home (roof, walls, windows etc) are not properly insulated, where water damage is occurring, locate areas of heat loss, and even insect activity. Our trained staff will provide you with pictures and a detailed report of our findings.
